Hello, Thanks for taking the time to find out a bit more about me.
I've been involved in the creative industries for decades starting out as a trainee graphic designer in a Belfast printers art studio. I thought this was a smart move as it felt like a shortcut to a career as a graphic designer. It was a tough place to work, standards were high and I learned so much from the more experienced people working in the studio.
Fast forward to 1990 when I founded my own Ad agency Navigator Blue and headed this up as Creative Director leading an award-winning team of brilliant people fuelled on bold ideas & fresh thinking .
This role took me to so many places around the world & back.
The work we created had an impact, achieved results & sometimes controversy.
Agency life is full-on, rarely seeing two days the same and that's what I still strive for every day
In 2017 I arrived at a decision to withdraw from working full time in advertising, I still love AdLand but it left me with little time to create anything else.
So here I am a few years later having refound my desire to make art and explore a new direction which is very just satisfying. So finding that balance between being an Artist & a Creative combines all my passions.
